It is one of the crystals with the best comprehensive properties among nonlinear crystals. It is widely used in commercial and military lasers. Including laboratory and medical systems, range detectors, lidar, optical communications and industrial laser systems. However, the poor UV transmittance limits its application in the UV region.<\/p>\n<\/div><div class=\"fusion-title title fusion-title-2 fusion-sep-none fusion-title-text fusion-title-size-one\"><h1 class=\"fusion-title-heading title-heading-left fusion-responsive-typography-calculated\" style=\"margin:0;--fontSize:32;line-height:1.3;\"><h3>#<span style=\"color: #0000ff;\">KTP<\/span> applications<\/h3><\/h1><\/div><div class=\"fusion-text fusion-text-2\"><p>Frequency-doubling (SHG) of neodymium-doped crystal lasers for green\/red output<br \/>\nSolid-state laser frequency mixing (SFM) such as neodymium-doped crystals to obtain blue light output<br \/>\nOPG, OPA and OPO get dimming in the range of 0.6um-4.5um<br \/>\nElectro-optical (E-O) modulation, optical switch<br \/>\nOptical Waveguide, Fabrication of Periodically Polarized <a href=\"https:\/\/www.szlaser.com\/index.php\/crystal\/nonlinear-crystals\/ktp\/\"><span style=\"color: #0000ff;\">KTP<\/span><\/a> Devices<br \/>\nNd laser frequency doubling and frequency mixing applications<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.szlaser.com\/index.php\/crystal\/nonlinear-crystals\/ktp\/\"><span style=\"color: #0000ff;\">KTP<\/span><\/a> is most commonly used in lasers for frequency-doubling <a href=\"https:\/\/www.szlaser.com\/index.php\/crystal\/laser-crystal\/nd-yag\/\"><span style=\"color: #0000ff;\">Nd:YAG<\/span><\/a> and other Nd-doped crystals, especially in green lasers. So far, intra-cavity and extra-cavity frequency-doubling Nd-doped lasers using <a href=\"https:\/\/www.szlaser.com\/index.php\/crystal\/nonlinear-crystals\/ktp\/\"><span style=\"color: #0000ff;\">KTP<\/span><\/a> are gradually replacing visible dye lasers and tunable sapphire lasers. In many industrial studies, this laser is widely used as a green light source<\/p>\n<p>&#8211; 0.5% <span style=\"color: #0000ff;\"><a style=\"color: #0000ff;\" href=\"https:\/\/www.szlaser.com\/index.php\/crystal\/ndyvo4\/\">Nd:YVO4<\/a><\/span> and KTP crystal pumped by 15W diode, 8W green output can be obtained<br \/>\n&#8211; 2% 3*3*1 Nd:YVO4 and 2*2*5 KTP crystal pumped by 1W diode, 180mW green output can be obtained<br \/>\n&#8211; 1% 3*3*1 Nd:YVO4 and 2*2*5 KTP crystal pumped by 2W diode, 300mW green output can be obtained<br \/>\n&#8211; 1% 3*3*2 Nd:YVO4 and 3*3*5 KTP crystals pumped by 3W diodes, 500mW green light output can be obtained<\/p>\n<p>So far, <a href=\"https:\/\/www.szlaser.com\/index.php\/crystal\/nonlinear-crystals\/ktp\/\"><span style=\"color: #0000ff;\">KTP<\/span><\/a> has become the first choice for the use of extra-cavity and intra-cavity frequency-doubling Nd lasers, and its output green laser has been used in scientific research, medical, industrial and commercial applications. Through extracavity <a href=\"https:\/\/www.szlaser.com\/index.php\/crystal\/nonlinear-crystals\/ktp\/\"><span style=\"color: #0000ff;\">KTP<\/span><\/a> frequency doubling, using 900mJ injection seed Q-switched <a href=\"https:\/\/www.szlaser.com\/index.php\/crystal\/laser-crystal\/nd-yag\/\"><span style=\"color: #0000ff;\">Nd: YAG<\/span><\/a> laser can achieve 80% conversion efficiency and can output 700mJ green laser.<\/p>\n<p>Particularly suitable for diode-pumped Nd lasers, <a href=\"https:\/\/www.szlaser.com\/index.php\/crystal\/nonlinear-crystals\/ktp\/\"><span style=\"color: #0000ff;\">KTP<\/span><\/a> is a basic nonlinear optical crystal for visible solid-state lasers. Recently, intracavity frequency-doubled <a href=\"https:\/\/www.szlaser.com\/index.php\/crystal\/ndyvo4\/\"><span style=\"color: #0000ff;\">Nd:YVO4<\/span><\/a> and <a href=\"https:\/\/www.szlaser.com\/index.php\/crystal\/laser-crystal\/nd-yag\/\"><span style=\"color: #0000ff;\">Nd:YAG<\/span><\/a> lasers have been used in display, manufacturing, optical disc, and laser printers. LD-pumped <span style=\"color: #0000ff;\"><a style=\"color: #0000ff;\" href=\"https:\/\/www.szlaser.com\/index.php\/crystal\/ndyvo4\/\">Nd:YVO4<\/a><\/span> and <span style=\"color: #0000ff;\">Nd:YAG<\/span> lasers have been able to obtain green lasers of more than 200mW TEM00 mode. Through mode-locking technology, 5.3W LD-pumped <a href=\"https:\/\/www.szlaser.com\/index.php\/crystal\/laser-crystal\/nd-yag\/\"><span style=\"color: #0000ff;\">Nd:YAG<\/span><\/a> intracavity frequency doubling can generate 3W TEM00 mode green lasers. In addition, 2.5mW green light can also be obtained by an intracavity frequency-doubling 50mW LD-pumped <a href=\"https:\/\/www.szlaser.com\/index.php\/crystal\/ndyvo4\/\"><span style=\"color: #0000ff;\">Nd:YVO4<\/span><\/a> compact laser with a cavity length of only 9mm.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.szlaser.com\/index.php\/crystal\/nonlinear-crystals\/ktp\/\"><span style=\"color: #0000ff;\">KTP<\/span><\/a> is also a powerful crystal for frequency doubling and mixing of lasers from about 1um to 3.4um. The angle of the frequency multiplication phase matching and the effective frequency multiplication coefficient (deff) are shown in the XY plane (0.9um-1.08um) and XZ plane (1.1um-3.3um) of the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.szlaser.com\/index.php\/crystal\/nonlinear-crystals\/ktp\/\"><span style=\"color: #0000ff;\">KTP.<\/span><\/a> Although <span style=\"color: #0000ff;\"><a style=\"color: #0000ff;\" href=\"https:\/\/www.szlaser.com\/index.php\/crystal\/nonlinear-crystals\/ktp\/\">KTP<\/a><\/span> can be phase-matched from 1um to 3.45um in the YZ plane (Type I), it is rarely used due to its extremely low effective nonlinear coefficient (deff).<\/p>\n<\/div><div style=\"text-align:right;\"><a class=\"fusion-button button-flat fusion-button-default-size button-default fusion-button-default button-1 fusion-button-default-span fusion-button-default-type\" target=\"_self\" href=\"https:\/\/www.szlaser.com\/index.php\/wiki\/comparison-of-co2-and-ndyag-laser\/\"><span class=\"fusion-button-text awb-button__text awb-button__text--default\">CO2 Laser, Nd:YAG Laser and Fiber Lasers \u2013 Which is Right for me? &gt;<\/span><\/a><\/div><\/div><\/div><\/div><\/div>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"","protected":false},"author":1,"featured_media":0,"parent":8230,"menu_order":7,"comment_status":"closed","ping_status":"closed","template":"","meta":{"_acf_changed":false,"footnotes":""},"class_list":["post-9453","page","type-page","status-publish","hentry"],"acf":[],"yoast_head":"<!-- This site is optimized with the Yoast SEO Premium plugin v18.7 (Yoast SEO v25.8) -
